The Inly Fund
Each year brings about many opportunities for Inly students to strive for their personal best, reach beyond their comfort zones, learn and grow. Your gift to the Inly Fund takes our students’ education to new heights.
The Inly Fund is the School’s annual giving program, which supports the creative and innovative programs that inspire real world ready learners. Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full costs of operating Inly School. Charitable giving to Inly provides 6% of the yearly operating budget — supporting teacher salaries and professional development, computer and science equipment, library resources, classroom materials, student financial aid, and more. Gifts of all sizes make a tremendous impact on students and faculty at Inly.
Your gift supports our hallmark experiential learning curriculum, helping our students to reach beyond our walls to discover the world around them: Hull Lifesaving Museum Rowing, Nature’s Classroom, Camp Chewonki, and Ocean Classroom.
You have the option to designate your annual gift to the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice Impact Fund. This giving opportunity will help to advance DEIJ programming for the current school year, such as teacher training, speakers, curriculum materials.
Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating students at Inly. Inly relies on The Inly Fund, our annual giving program, to help bridge the gap between tuition income and operating expenses. Gifts to The Inly Fund are used to bolster our programs during the current school year.
Gifts to The Inly Fund help to purchase classroom materials, sponsor guest speakers, provide science & computer equipment, support professional development for teachers, maintain our campus, ensure financial aid opportunities, and create new enrichment activities and much more.
Each gift adds up! Our goal is 100% participation in this community wide effort. Gifts of all sizes make a tremendous impact on our school community. Potential funders such as corporations and foundations will only fund schools that can demonstrate a wide base of support by their own school community. Your participation is a vote of confidence in Inly.
Your gift can be made by cash, check, credit card or with a gift of securities. Gifts can be made online or by sending by mail or dropping off to the Advancement Office at Inly School. You can make a pledge by contacting the Advancement Office at ext. 119
Given the importance of The Inly Fund to the quality and strength of Inly, we ask that you give as generously as you can. Gifts to the Fund range from $10 to more than $15,000. The school community is grateful for every contribution, as each gift is critical to the success of The Inly Fund. Whatever the size of your gift, we encourage you to make Inly one of your top philanthropic priorities.
The advancement office sends out several appeals each school year. These appeals are followed up by phone by volunteer and staff callers. Consider making your gift or pledge early in the year to save the school postage and telephone costs. All gifts and pledges are due by June 30, the end of the fiscal year. Your support will be recognized in the Annual Report of Donors published in the fall.
Each year, a growing number of donors create and strengthen the foundation of The Inly Fund by making gifts at a leadership level. We recognize these individuals in the Leadership Giving Circle out of tremendous gratitude for their vision and generosity. In addition to appearing in the annual report, donors in the Leadership Giving Circle are invited to an annual appreciation event within the giving year.
Grandparent participation in Inly’s annual fundraising efforts has a deep impact on our small learning community. In recognition of grandparents who support Inly with an annual gift, the school has established the Grandparent Giving Circle.
