By Pledge

Stocks, Bonds, & Other Securities
You may enjoy a special tax incentive for gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, and other securities, as the appreciated portion is usually exempt from capital gains tax.
To make a gift of stock to Inly School you may instruct your broker or banker to have your shares electronically transferred to Inly School's brokerage account. Gift date and valuation are determined per IRS regulations. The official gift date is the date the shares arrive in the Inly School account if transferred electronically. If mailed, the gift date is the postmark on the envelope. The value of the stock is the average of the high and low per share (mean market value) on the date of the gift.
