About Financial Assistance at Inly

Inly would like to ensure that any student offered admission has a realistic chance to enroll, regardless of their financial circumstances. While we believe that a student’s family has the primary responsibility for financing education, families who demonstrate that their financial resources are insufficient to pay the full cost of tuition are eligible to apply for financial assistance. However, due to limited resources, not all financial assistance requests can always be funded.

What to Know About Financial Assistance

  • It is available beginning in Kindergarten.
  • New students’ families should complete admissions and financial assistance applications concurrently.
  • If your family qualifies for assistance and accepts the award(s) for your child (ren), it will be “locked in” for three school years. You will not have to submit an application each year.
  • To ensure objectivity, all applications are processed through Tuition Aid Data Service (TADS).
  • It is granted based on applicants' need, total available funds, and the number of applicants.
  • Funds are limited. Applicants whose needs cannot be met, will be placed in a wait pool. The Financial Assistance Committee will determine awards as funds become available.
  • In separated or divorced families, both parents or guardians must submit applications.

Financial Assistance Deadlines

The deadlines to submit financial assistance applications and supporting documents, for your family to be considered for the 2020-21 school year is January 24, 2020.

Any Financial Assistance Application or Supporting Documents received after the deadline will be considered on a rolling basis, pending available funds.

FAQs

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. How is a financial assistance award determined?

The amount of financial assistance offered depends on your financial circumstances and the TADS estimated family contribution. The family contribution is based on family size, total income, savings, investments, other assets such as home equity, indebtedness, and any unusual expenses.
  • Q. Does everyone who applies for financial assistance receive funding?

Financial assistance grants are made based on applicants’ need, total available funds, and the number of applicants. Priority is given to existing families already receiving need-based financial assistance, and to returning families newly applying for assistance. An effort is made to retain some amount of assistance for new applicants to Inly School. In all cases, priority is given to those families with students in grades K–8, however, there is limited aid available for younger students.
  • Q. What steps does Inly School take to ensure confidentiality in the financial assistance process?
