Our Arts-Rich Curriculum

At Inly, the arts are integrated in nearly everything we do. As part of our arts-rich curriculum, we teach visual art, music and movement from Toddler through Middle School. We also integrate the arts in cultural studies, history, literature and other academic subjects.

Drama, Theater & Performing Arts

Every child in grades K–8 participates in a class play every year. It’s an integral part of our curriculum and a proud and long-standing tradition!
In addition, students in grades 3–8 are invited to audition and participate in the annual Inly Players Theater production, an extracurricular opportunity for those interested in taking drama and musical theater to a more professional level. Inly parents, teachers, staff, alumni and professional actors participate in this fully staged production.

Music, Dance & Movement

Music Classes
Music classes are part of every student's education at Inly, from Toddler and Preschool through Middle School. The Music curriculum combines individual and group work with work designed to appeal to a variety of learning styles. This directly relates to our philosophy of enhancing the Montessori philosophy with other innovative methods. The Music curriculum also offers significant opportunities to build community through our numerous performances, field trips, and assemblies.
Dance / Movement Arts
The ultimate goal of this program is to assist all children along the path to lifetime physical fitness, which aligns with our holistic mission. The benefits of this journey are many: health, longevity, positive body image, improved overall self-esteem, and increased energy and concentration in all areas. All students at all levels — Toddler, Preschool, Elementary and Middle School — participate regularly in Movement Arts classes and activities.
