Virtual Summer Camp

Summer At-Home Camp Program

In light of the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 situation, Inly has decided to move to an online camp program this summer. We hope your child will enjoy the creative and enriching opportunities offered by our own Inly teachers below!

June 22–26

Preschool Adventures: Trolls and Fairies
Ages 3–5

Come explore the magic of fairy houses and troll dwellings. Moss becomes a carpet, twigs transform into a roof, pebbles pave the way for little feet. What does your fairy or troll look like? Can it perform magic or does it have superpowers? We are only limited by our imaginations!

We will meet each morning for a group storytime and then you will be invited to explore theme-related projects and activities from the comfort of your own home. We will join back up before lunch to celebrate all of your creations as a community!

Materials will be packaged and available for individual campers to pick up the week prior to camp. A specific pick-up schedule will be sent to families in advance.

Animal Antics
Entering grades 1–4

Let’s discover more about our native animal neighbors! We will take a closer look at native animals found on land, plants, and in water. Our investigations into the lives of insects, amphibians, reptiles and crustaceans will help us to discover their special adaptations for survival. Join us as we explore local ponds, woodlands and tidepools!

Beyond the daily online group gatherings, campers will be invited to explore daily theme-related activities to extend their exploration. Activities will be shared via our camp website.

Break A Leg Theater Works and Inly School present: Theater Week Online – Featuring company members from the national tour of Les Misérables
Entering grades 5–9

Join us for an exciting week of improv, songs, scenes and movement that will celebrate the theater and how we create and build characters.

This invigorating week will feature actors from the national touring company of Les Misérables as well as Resident Director Richard Barth as guest teachers.

Theater Week Online is open to all students who have an interest in the performing arts no matter your previous level of experience. This entertaining, engaging and enlightening week will also feature the Co-Founder/Directors of Break a Leg Theater Works, Kyle Wrentz and Healy Sammis as guest teachers. Join us for this creative and memorable week featuring some extraordinary Broadway talent.

Insect Extravaganza Pop-Up!
June 25 & 26
Entering K–4th

Are you ready for a bug hunt challenge? What do bugs do all day? Get ready to be a field scientist and find out! We will create our own handmade insect collectors and observe our critter friends during the day and early evening, before safely returning them back to their natural habitat.

Beyond the daily online group gatherings, campers will be invited to explore daily theme-related activities to extend their exploration. Activities will be shared via our camp website.

Preschool Adventures: Rockets and Rainbows
Ages 3–5

Let’s fill our sky together! Using science and imagination, we’ll add color to our world! Whether we’re spraying a mist of water or looking closely at a bubble floating through the air, we’ll find rainbows are all around us. We’ll think like scientists as we propel rockets into our colorful sky.

We will meet each morning for a group storytime and then you will be invited to explore theme-related projects and activities from the comfort of your own home. We will join back up before lunch to celebrate all of your creations as a community!

Sports World
Entering grades K–3

We will explore the world of sports, and delve into the origins of various sports to learn about the history of the Olympics. Students will participate in numerous sports activities and learn about the importance of sports in our daily lives. We will focus on a different sports theme each day, and have fun learning about sports in different parts of the world and how to create our own special game or sports activity.

Dance Camp!
Entering grades 3–5

Start the day dancing! Each day we will explore a different style of dance; jazz, contemporary, musical theatre. No prior experience in any dance technique is needed. Total energy and total fun!

Ellyn’s Cabinet of Curiosities Pop-Up!
Entering K–4

Calling all explorers and naturalists! Join us as we build our own nature display. What natural curiosities will you find in your travels? Create a display for others to enjoy and come see Ellyn's cabinet of curiosity and mystery objects!

We will meet each morning for a group storytime and then you will be invited to explore theme-related projects and activities from the comfort of your own home. We will join back up before lunch to celebrate all of your creations as a community!

TRIPLE M! (Music, Movement and Musicals!)

Hone your musical theatre skills and become a triple threat by acting, singing and dancing. We’ll play theatre games, learn physical and vocal warm-ups, and create characters and dances from the popular musical, ANNIE!

Design Challenge
Entering grades 3–6

Start the summer by thinking outside of the box to solve a new design challenge each day. Each camper will have a kit of materials that we will pull from each day to imagine, design and build. We will start each morning sharing the previous day’s creations and getting inspired for the next! Are you ready for the challenge?

Preschool Adventures: Unicorns and Robots
Ages 3–5

Join us as we mix two of our favorite fantasy friends, unicorns and robots! We’ll design our own robots, big, small, funny, silly, out of this world — you decide! Could we even make a unicorn robot? Sure why not! See what creatures we can design just using our imaginations and some fun recycled materials and art supplies!

We will meet each morning for a group storytime and then you will be invited to explore theme-related projects and activities from the comfort of your own home. We will join back up before lunch to celebrate all of your creations as a community!

Lego Challenge
Entering grades 1–4
Are you ready to bring your LEGOing to new levels? Each day we will meet over Zoom and unveil a new building challenge for the day. It could be building a feature of the Inly campus or something personal like the last dream you can remember! Each morning we will start with a Zoom call where we will take time to share the creations from the previous day and get inspired for the challenge ahead.

Sports and Fitness
Entering grades 4–8

Let us explore the impact of sports in our lives, and learn about our wider world of sports in other countries including the origins and history of various sports and the Olympics. We will focus on and participate in various sports themes each day and learn how to create a sports or fitness activity designed for developing skill acquisition, strength, flexibility, coordination, agility and cardiovascular fitness.

Cooking with Chef Abby!
Entering grades 4–6

Cook. Sketch. Photograph. Food. Join Chef Abby as she works with you to follow a recipe, explores fun food related projects, and shares the lessons of culinary school. Did you know sketching your menu is part of being a chef? Bon Appetit!

Inly Minecraft
Entering grades 4–8

How many blocks does it take to build the Mehan Family Artsbarn? Can you make a cow out of cubes? The challenge awaits as we work together to recreate an accurate replica of the entire Inly campus in our own Minecraft realm.

Campers must have access to a PC, Mac, or Linux computer to participate (ipads, chromebooks, etc. will not function for this camp). Campers should have some familiarity with Minecraft prior to the start of this program.
