Summer Camp

Investigate! Innovate! Invigorate!

Summer at Inly provides an opportunity for children to investigate nature, art, and theater, innovate with new tools and technologies, and invigorate their bodies and minds while learning new skills and making new friends.

Summer at Inly is open to the public. Children who will attend the grades indicated in the fall are welcome to register for that Summer at Inly class. The camp day runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. More information can be found under “General Information” at the right.

The classes listed below are from our 2019 Summer session. Exciting, new classes are being planned for the 2020 session and will be updated soon. Be sure to check back!

Session 1: June 24–28, 2019

Preschool Adventures: Dinosaur Days
Ages 3–5  •  $400
Calling all archaeologists! Let’s travel back in time, discover dinosaur bones, explore fossils, and recreate a dinosaur scene in the great outdoors!  Our days will also be filled with digging for gems and discovering the magic of crystals!

Animals on the Move
K–2nd Grade  •  $400
Campers will observe animals big and small to learn how they move and survive in their habitat. Exploring the trails, creating artwork, singing and dancing will all be part of everyday activities. Campers will get up close and personal with visiting critters in motion!

Let’s Put on a Show!
K–3rd Grade  •  $400
Campers will explore the world of musical theatre from set painting to choreography, theatre games, acting and singing. They will finish the week with a performance showcasing all they have learned.

Forensic Science
Grades 4–6  •  $400
Spend a week as a member of the CSInly team! We will become forensic detectives by using real science to solve a whodunit. Campers will dust for fingerprints, study fibers, and use chemistry to solve the case.

Session 2: July 8–19, 2019

Preschool Adventures: Air and Water
Ages 3–5  •  $800
What’s so special about the air we breathe and the water we drink? Campers will explore the properties of water and experiment with using the force of air. Our days will be filled with art, crafts, and hands-on science activities.

Fearless Flyers Academy
Grades 1–8  •  $1200
Here’s your child’s chance to join the circus! Children will learn the exciting art of flying trapeze as well as how to dance through the air with aerial silks, jump on an Olympic trampoline, walk on stilts, juggle and much more! 
Group Leader: Fearless Flyers Academy Professionals (USA Gymnastics Certified)

Founded by Don and Ally Dinh, Fearless Flyers Academy (FFA) is an elite acrobatic training school dedicated to bringing the joys and health benefits of flying trapeze, trampolining, and aerial silks to students. FFA delivers individualized training to all students regardless of age, sex, race, or prior experience. They have the only portable flying trapeze rig in New England!

Grades 4–6  •  $800
Using all the resources of the Inly DaVinci studio, campers will create games to wow their friends and family. Games will be both physical board games and programing based virtual games. Students will have the opportunity to program, 3D print, and laser cut materials.

Session 3: July 22–August 2, 2019

Preschool Adventures: Rock, Paper, Scissors
Ages 3–5  •  $800
What happens when you combine rocks, paper, and scissors?  Let’s find out! Campers will create beautiful artwork, build useful machines, and enjoy FUN contraptions exploring how these materials can all work together!

Natural STEAM
Grades 1–3  •  $800
Did you know that snowflakes are examples of fractals and an invitation to explore symmetry? And that cut fruit illustrates intricate shapes and patterns? Come connect to nature through STEAM and the wonders of the Outdoor Classroom. Using hands on activities and group projects we will build, create, explore and play with math concepts like spirals, The Golden Ratio, symmetry and tessellations in the natural world.

Broadway Bound
Grades 3–8 (including 8th grade graduates entering 9th)  •  $600
This year’s musical theater crash course will revolve around the magic of Disney on Broadway! Receive instruction in singing, dancing, improv and acting, in an energetic and collaborative environment. Appropriate for all skill levels, students will work together to create and rehearse a Disney musical theater production with an original twist. Our two week program will culminate in a final performance for parents and friends on the last day of camp.

Grades 4–8  •  $800
3-2-1 BLAST OFF! We will build and launch many rockets during this session as we explore the different ways that we can send objects into the sky. We will propel our rockets with water and traditional model rocket power learning about the physics of flight.

  • About

    • Summer at Inly is open to the public.

    • The camp day runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. 

    • All campers will receive a Summer at Inly t-shirt.

    • Inly School is a nut-free campus. Campers should pack a nut-free lunch and bring a water bottle. 

    • Camper drop-off and pick-up will occur at the main parking loop, in front of the Grealish Family Pavilion. 

    • Parents and friends of campers are invited to attend a community gathering the last Friday of each session in the Meehan Family Artsbarn at 1:00 pm, where campers will share projects and performances of their program.
    This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local board of health.

  • Staff

    • Summer at Inly staff are chosen for their enthusiasm, expertise, and ability to serve as positive role models.
    • Camp programs are led by certified Inly School faculty. Fearless Flyers specialty camp is run by Fearless Flyers Academy, Mystic CT.

    • All staff are CORI-checked and fingerprinted under state law. 

    • A fully certified nurse will be on campus daily.
