A team of specialists is on staff to assist in the education of each child.
Our Learning Specialists, Child and Family Therapist, Nurses, consulting Occupational Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist, are here to support the students, teachers, and parents. Either parents or faculty may initiate the use of these professionals. Classroom observations will be made, and faculty and parents will confer to decide on an approach that will best meet the individual student’s needs.
If a student has had testing which identified a learning difference or other health need, an accommodation plan will be created by our team. This ensures that the child´s learning needs are communicated to teachers, and a tailored approach is provided, with minimal disruption to the child’s work cycle. Regular meetings are then set up to review the student’s progress and to determine if services need to be revised or discontinued.
