About Financial Aid at Inly School

Inly would like to ensure that any student offered admission has a realistic chance to enroll, regardless of their financial circumstances. While we believe that a student’s family has the primary responsibility for financing education, families who demonstrate that their financial resources are insufficient to pay the full cost of tuition are eligible to apply for financial assistance. However, due to limited resources, not all financial assistance requests can always be funded.

How is Need Determined?

Financial assistance is available beginning in Kindergarten, and granted based on applicants’ need, total available funds, and the number of applicants. Both new and returning families must apply for any given year; all applications are processed through Tuition Aid Data Service (TADS). Priority is given to existing families already receiving need-based financial assistance, and to returning families newly applying for assistance. An effort is made to retain some amount of assistance for new applicants to Inly School.

Financial Aid Wait Pool

Financial aid funds are limited. Applicants whose needs cannot be met will be placed in a wait pool. If funds become available at a later time (as funds are released from families on financial aid who leave the School or who do not qualify for continued assistance), they will be granted to applicants who qualify. The Financial Aid Committee will decide on grants as funds become available.

Financial Aid Deadlines

For the 2017-2018 school year, the deadlines to submit financial aid applications and supporting documents have passed. Limited funds may still be available for the 2017-18 school year. Please contact the Admission Office to learn more about available funds.

How to Apply for Financial Aid

  • To ensure objectivity, Inly School uses Tuition Aid Data Service (TADS) to evaluate applications. Using their assessment and the other materials submitted, the Financial Aid Committee determines how much assistance can be offered to a family based on the School’s overall budget. Awards are made to students in good standing based upon the family’s financial need.
  • Families are encouraged to apply for financial aid after December 1, but should submit their completed application to TADS no later than January 10, 2017. While these deadlines have passed, limited funding may still be available. Contact the Admission Office to learn more about available funds.
  • New students’ families should complete admissions and financial aid applications concurrently; financial aid applications are considered only after a new student has been accepted.
  • After returning families’ applications are considered, new families’ applications are reviewed.
  • All families receiving aid must re-apply each year.
  • In separated or divorced families, both parents or guardians must submit applications.

FAQs

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. How is a financial assistance award determined?

  • Q. Does everyone who applies for financial assistance receive funding?

Financial assistance grants are made based on applicants’ need, total available funds, and the number of applicants. Priority is given to existing families already receiving need-based financial assistance, and to returning families newly applying for assistance. An effort is made to retain some amount of assistance for new applicants to Inly School. In all cases, priority is given to those families with students in grades K–8, however, there is limited aid available for younger students.
  • Q. What steps does Inly School take to ensure confidentiality in the financial assistance process?

All applicants remain anonymous in the committee review process and specific families receiving financial assistance are known only by the Business Office.
