Step by Step Process

List of 3 items.

  • Submit Your Application

We currently have a few remaining spaces left for mid-year 2018-19 applicants, and are now accepting applications for next school year, 2019-20. Please click on the blue button to the right to start your application, and select which year you're applying for. Once we receive the application, we will contact you to schedule your Student Visit and Parent Conversation.
  • Submit Student Record Release & AISNE Forms

School records and a completed AISNE form (for Children's House and older) are required for all applicants currently attending a school or program.

Our Request for Record Release and AISNE Student Evaluation forms are available online (see link in upper right orange box).

Be sure to 1) complete the top portion of the Record Release form and 2) choose the appropriate AISNE Student Evaluation form (AISNE forms are not required for Toddler applicants), based on your child's age or grade to which they are applying. Send both forms to your child's current school.

Please submit paperwork in a timely manner to ensure we don't run out of space in your child's level.
  • Schedule Your Student Visit and Parent Conversation

    Student Visit
Once your Application is received, we will call to schedule a visit for your child. This visit allows your child and our teachers to interact in a warm and friendly classroom setting, and helps determine whether Inly seems to be the appropriate environment for your child.
    • We invite groups of 4 to 5 applicants at a time for a 30-minute visit on February 2 @ 8:30am. After this date, arrangements can be made for 30-minute visits via the Admissions Office.
    • Children’s House (preschool and Kindergarten) applicants visit with teachers in a small group, while parents speak with Inly faculty about their child and their educational goals. We invite groups of 4 to 5 applicants at a time for a 30-minute visit on February 2 @ 9:30am. After this date, arrangements can be made for 30-minute visits via the Admissions Office.
    • First grade applicants visit with peers in a Kindergarten class for an afternoon (1:00–2:15pm). They work with Inly students, talk one-on-one with a Lower Elementary teacher, and do some brief testing so that we can determine the best placement for them at our school.
    • 2nd-6th grade applicants visit in an Elementary classroom for a morning (9:00am-1:00pm) with peers of their age. Applicants work with students in the classroom, participate in recess and lunchtime, talk one-on-one with a teacher, and do some brief testing so that we can determine the best placement at our school.
      • Middle School 7th grade applicants visit our school for a full day (8:15am-2:30pm, M-Th). They work with our students, spend some one-on-one time with teachers, and do some brief testing so that we can determine the best placement for them at our school.
      Parent Conversation
We schedule 30-minutes for parents to meet with an Inly teacher to help us learn more about your child, to discuss educational goals, and to help ensure that our school is the right match for your family. This visit typically happens during the last 30 minutes of your child's visit, before pickup. We will discuss what timing works best for both parties during the admission process. Toddler and Children's House parents will have their conversation during their child's visit.
