  • Why choose Inly?

We work hard to ensure our students not only achieve high academic success, but also excel in the 21st century skills necessary to navigate the world as thoughtful global citizens. Our nurturing teachers foster each student’s natural curiosity and inclination to learn, providing the environment for discovering his or her own potential within. Individuality is celebrated at Inly. Creativity is integrated into our rigorous Montessori-based curriculum and fuels all we do. Learning by doing is our way of life—whether it’s toddlers digging in our organic gardens, sixth graders experimenting with robotics or middle schoolers rigging a schooner in the open ocean.
  • I’ve heard of Montessori but what is that all about?

A pioneer of progressive education, Maria Montessori believed in the power of the child’s innate talent and curiosity and stressed the importance of letting them follow their interests. A Montessori education is flexible, developmentally responsive, and designed to fit a student’s needs and interests.

Inly is a Montessori+ school. This means we combine Montessori methods with other proven practices to create the richest learning experience possible. With Montessori principles at the core, this dynamic model incorporates critical elements proven to promote curiosity, creativity and critical thinking; practical skills, academic preparedness and a lifelong love of learning. It integrates heart, mind and body, focusing on the whole child — at every stage of development.
  • What is Inly’s commitment to diversity?

Inly School aspires to foster global citizenship, and to be a community that represents, explores, and honors a diverse mix of experience and expression. Multicultural education and practice is the responsibility and privilege of every member of the Inly community. Inly actively seeks faculty, families, and leadership who embrace and practice skills that reflect our Montessori core values of grace, courtesy, respect, compassion, and empathy.
  • Are there opportunities for parent involvement?

Yes! Inly has a great sense of community and many ways for parents to get involved. From volunteering in the classroom or chaperoning a field excursion to attending a monthly Parents Group meeting or organizing event—parents are invited to find the area(s) and amount of involvement that is right for them, and jump in!
