Our Arts-Rich Curriculum

At Inly, the arts are integrated in nearly everything we do. As part of our arts-rich curriculum, we teach art, music and movement from Toddler through Middle School. We also integrate the arts in cultural studies, history, literature and other academic subjects. See our Inly Cultural Festival for an example of arts and innovation in action.

Drama, Theater & Performing Arts

All students in grades K-8 participate in an annual play or musical with their peers on stage, in the "Arts Barn."

Our annual Inly Players Theater production offers students (grade 3 and up) the opportunity to perform with parents, friends, faculty and professionals.

Integrated Arts in Action: A digital Voicethread presentation of the "Hero Boxes" project at Inly School

In February all students and teachers from preschool through middle school made their own Hero Box to symbolize and honor a hero of their choice. A good example of how we integrate the arts in everday projects and multiple disciplines, this schoolwide Cultural Studies assignment provoked creative thinking, discussion and sharing of ideas across all ages.

To celebrate Youth Arts Month in Massachusetts, we have submitted this multimedia presentation to Creative Minds Unleashed, a joint project of the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Arts|Learning, to display on their e-Showcase exhibit. Check out the Inly project, along with those from other schools across the state, and get your own creative minds in gear!
