At the end of next week students in CH through MS will bring home a white take-out food container with a November 2005 calendar inside the box. (Please be aware these boxes were purchased from a party supply company and have never had contact with any food items.)

Each day of the month has a giving “saying” on it. We hope your family will read the “saying” reflect on it’ meaning and participate in the action suggested.

At the end of the month, please have your child return the container to his/her classroom. The coins collected will be counted and the total will be announced at the Inly School winter concert.

The funds will be used to assist south shore families in need of home heating oil assistance this winter. In addition, a portion of this year’s fund will benefit the Heifer Project. At the November 3rd school assembly, the students will hear more about the Heifer Project is and what it does around the world.

Together our Inly family can do a great community service project that will benefit families locally and around the globe. At the same time we can all share family time and practice reading and math skills while working on this project. Each family is free to choose the level of participation they are comfortable with. Enjoy giving!

Coming Up: Coat Drive
We will also be participating once again this year in a coat drive project in conjunction with Anton’s Cleaners. Our collection dates will be announced in the future. Please save those coats to donate as you clean out your closets!
