Inly Arts Festival Doubles in Size!
When the performance tent collapsed 10 minutes before show time, Team Inly shifted indoors and attendees happily followed. Boston Ballet School and Tanglewood Marionettes graciously doubled their performances to accommodate eager fans. The Khakatay Ensemble’s twenty drummers, cold and windblown, were moved indoors at the last minute to perform on the stage. What at first seemed like an inconvenient solution turned out to be fabulous opportunity, bringing all the festival goers, artisans and puppeteers into one bustling area of dance, drumming and celebration.
By all accounts, the festival was a huge success. In fact, the number of attendees
more than doubled in size from 2004. Inly opened its doors to many new families who came from all over the South Shore and beyond. They were treated to the Inly way of celebrating the arts. The campus was buzzing with excitement, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Thank you to Lilli Meiselman, Judi Vigna, and the corps of volunteers who made this event possible. Recognition also goes to Eastern Bank, our partner in the arts, for sharing our vision of an event that would inspire self-discovery and enthusiasm for the arts in everyone.
