A Thunderous Visit

Nigel, father of Jeremy (EL-1C) and an engineer at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, recently came to school to present a lesson on thunder, lightning, and clouds.

He showed a very cool video on weather and then conducted the thunder experiment, which illustrated how pressure systems work. He also did an experiment using dry ice to illustrate the qualities of fog.

According to the EL-1C teachers, the students loved everything about Nigel's visit, and they are very grateful for the time he took to come to Inly to share his expertise.

Our Japanese intern, Yasuko, was in the right place at the right time and snapped the pictures on the left.
