The advantage of starting young
According to the Montessori philosophy, the most important years of growth are the first six years of life. That is why Montessori schools begin with a Toddler House program (for toddlers and younger preschool children) and encourage students to begin at least by Children's House (preschool and kindergarten for ages 3-6) to reap the benefits of the full Montessori educational experience.
The lifelong benefits of an Inly education
The tangible benefits of an Inly education include a deep understanding of academic material, hands-on skills, and a discerning ability to manage one’s time. The intangible benefits—confidence, independence, and social and interpersonal responsibilities—separate Inly graduates from their peers.
In choosing Inly, parents are making a solid investment in their children's educational and personal growth.
Thanks for your interest in Inly; we hope to meet you soon!

Admissions FAQs
What's the best age to start at Inly?
Educators agree that the best time to enter a Montessori program is at the Toddler or Children’s House (preschool) level. Dr. Montessori called the first six years (ages 0–6) a "highly sensitive" period of learning—and the most important years of a student's life. Children who enter Inly by preschool and stay through grade 8 reap the greatest educational benefits.
Do you have openings in the older grades?
Occasionally, but there are fewer and fewer openings as students move up through the levels. There are currently no openings in Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, or Middle School for 2012-2013.
What type of student does well at Inly?
Young children who are curious, inquisitive and engaged; kind, respectful and empathetic; and responsive to adult redirection are good candidates for Inly. In older children, we look for the same qualities, plus high academic motivation, a track record of interest and engagement, willingness to take on new challenges, and the desire to work independently with teacher support.
